Context

Top Vault is a document management module in NTT's education ERP. Institutions on NTT's LMS store documents in it. Admins, teachers and students need different access.

My role

Frontend developer for the module.

Access is decided from the user in the auth token.

Key decisions

    Token-based, role-aware access

    The user ID in the auth token decides what each role can see and do. Admins, teachers and students get different permissions.

  2. 02

    A higher-order component for role-based navigation

    One place decides which header and navigation a role sees, so screens do not each repeat the check.

  3. 03

    A debounced search hook

    Search waits for the user to stop typing before it calls the API. That cuts unnecessary network calls.
